Catalyze is excited to announce that we have been selected by the USAID Africa Trade and Investment (ATI) Activity in support of the Prosper Africa initiative to oversee the African Fine Foods B2B Matchmaking Program at Summer Fancy Food, happening in New York City between June 23 & 25, 2024.

The Summer Fancy Food show is hosted annually in New York and has been in operation for over 60 years with the 2023 show featuring over 2,200 makers and manufacturers from six continents and over 30,000 professionals attending. It also presents an opportunity to highlight products designed or made by women-owned or -operated companies, contributing to spotlighting women’s economic empowerment.

Prosper Africa and the USAID Africa Trade and Investment Activity are hosting over 100 companies from across Africa at the Africa Fine Foods Pavilion at Summer Fancy Food 2024, where they will engage with U.S. buyers to drive more trade between Africa and the U.S. utilizing AGOA. (Learn more about these companies here.) The specialty foods sector represents a growth segment in the U.S. which offers the opportunity for exports at scale from Africa to the U.S. For 2024.

Catalyze is currently extending their network of verified U.S. buyers in the specialty food sectors to join the program to access this curated selection of unique, export-ready, high-quality African food products.

Meetings will be strategically planned and participants carefully matched to ensure the best possible opportunity for long-term sustainable export partnerships. This provides an efficient way to discover new products that can diversify U.S. offerings and appeal to a growing segment of consumers interested in global flavors and sustainable sourcing.

The USAID Africa Trade and Investment (ATI) activity is designed to bolster the U.S. Government’s ability to boost trade and investment to, from, and within the African continent. The continent-wide program is USAID’s flagship effort in support of the Prosper Africa initiative and will expand and accelerate two-way trade and investment between African nations and the United States.
